EXTERNAL WATERPROOFING

At Total Seal, we realise substrates below ground level require adequate protection through waterproofing

We ensure our products are installed to the Australian Standards resulting in a reliable and long lasting outcome.

Our team is fully trained and knowledgeable so you can be confident in the protection of your home.

WHAT IS EXTERNAL WATERPROOFING?

External waterproofing serves as a protective barrier preventing moisture from entering the substrate below ground level and effecting the the look of the finished surface due to efflorescence.

We often use a liquid applied membrane which makes it adaptable to the imperfect surface to ensure a greater adhesion. At Total Seal we take our method a step further by creating a gravel trench to assist in diverting the water from the substrate.

THE PROCESS

External waterproofing includes walls below ground level, decks, patios, terraces and balconies. At Total Seal our qualified team assesses the needs of your project and creates a customised approach.

First a primer is applied followed by a 3 coat system to achieve the required dry film thickness (DFT) according to the specific product data sheet to ensure the membrane will perform as warranted.

Each external waterproofing project is unique so you can be certain you are receiving a specialised plan to your needs.
